Mazda Will Use a Diesel Engine by 2013

Mazda has announced its intention to bring a diesel engine to the United States by the year 2013, specifically, as Mazda spokesman Jeremy Barnes explains, "It'll be here between 15 and 18 months behind the launch of the Skyactiv-G gasoline engine in the Mazda 3."1 This means that the new diesel engine will appear in the early half of 2013, due to the fact that the Skyactiv-G 3 appeared in showrooms across the United States in October 2011.

Mazda Wins. . . Again.

The races are over, and the winners have been announced: Mazda takes both the 2011 American Le Mans Series LMP1 and Continental Tire Challenge Street Turner manufacturers championships! (And, it would have been three championships-provided Mazda been three-tenths of a second faster at the Rolex Grand-Am Championship.) Mazda has also crowned three of four 2011 MAZDASPEED Motorsports Development Ladder Champions, including two steps of the Mazda Road to Indy. These wins were achieved by: Tristan Vautier (the Star Mazda Championship Presented by Goodyear), Petri Suvanto (the Copper Tires USF2000 Championship Powered by Mazda), and Mike Cooper (the SCCA Pro Racing Playboy Mazda MX-5 Cup).

Mazda Plants Roots in Mexico

Ah, Mexico: the land of margaritas and sunshine. At least that's what comes to mind for some of us here at Tracy Mazda.  When Mazda execs think of Mexico, however, they think of money and manufacturing. The Japanese automaker and Sumitomo Corporation have teamed up to form the new Mazda Motor Manufacturing de Mexico S.A. de C.V. Plant workers will build new 2014 versions of the Mazda2 and Mazda3 models for South American markets. The factory will be located in Salamanca, Guanajuato, and the cars will be the same as the Mazda Axela and Mazda Demio models in Japan.

Mazda Recycles, Reuses and Reduces Energy with i-ELOOP

It's easy for consumers to see Mazda intelligence brought to life within the sleek design of every new Mazda model. But the innovative automaker is by no means solely superficially smart. For 2012, it will release a new regenerative braking system, proving that intellect fills Mazda vehicles from the inside out.

Dubbed Intelligent Energy Loop, or i-ELOOP for short, the system takes regenerative brake technology to a whole different level. Using a variable voltage alternator, a low-resistance capacitor and a DC/DC converter, i-ELOOP transforms a vehicle's kinetic energy into electricity and stores it. To tap into that…

Mazda Uses High Tensile Steel

MAZDA will introduce the Mazda CX-5 at Tracy Mazda (located at 2680 Auto Plaza Dr Tracy, CA 95304) by 2012. Aside from it being a much anticipated crossover, this vehicle is the first car implementing a new ultra-high tensile steel.

But what does that mean to the driver?

Ultra-high tensile steel will work with a new energy absorbing structure in various parts of the vehicle body. This material will compress and absorb more during a crash, giving any occupants a better chance of surviving accidents. It will also greatly improve maneuvering.

"Mazda conducted extensive research into how bumper beams deform…

Check Out the 2013 Mazda CX-5

The CX-5, a small crossover placed between MAZDA3  and MAZDA CX-7 won't even become production ready until next year - but that hasn't stop this Japanese company from testing a product that will drop into Tracy Mazda located at 2680 Auto Plaza Dr Tracy, CA 95304 for 2013.

"The biggest outflow from the C-car segment (Mazda 3) is into the small crossover segment," said Jim O'Sullivan, President of Mazda North America. "The CX-7 is for some people a little bit too big of a stretch. The CX-5 will not be a niche player." O'Sullivan expects 2013's…
