2014 Mazda3Whether you’re buying your first car or looking for a top-of-the-line luxury vehicle, Mazda has made it easy to find the 2014 Mazda3 model at the right price for your budget. Mazda doesn’t skimp on standard features with the basic i SV model, and you’ll find attractive options and amenities on every trim level after that. We’ve laid out what the different price levels mean for your car purchase below.

Entry-Level Sedan With Next Level Features

The basic Mazda3 i SV model is priced at $16,945, with the i Sport and i Touring following at $18,445 and $19,595, respectively. All three come with the SKYACTIV-G 2.0L DOHC 4-cylinder engine, which packs 155 hp and 150 lb-ft of torque while maintaining 29 mpg in the city and 41 mpg on the highway. The design and interior in these models isn’t quite as lush as in the upper trim levels, but they don’t skimp on safety, performance or handling. The SV, Sport, and Touring also come with accessory features that are advanced for most entry-level vehicles:

  • Power windows and power locks
  • Remote keyless entry and push button start
  • Rear window defogger with timer
  • Plenty of storage and cup holders
  • Steering wheel-mounted audio controls
  • USB audio input port

Transition Trim Level

The i Grand Touring’s price is set at $22,745, and it brings you closer to the high-end s Touring and s Grand Touring models. It comes with the same SKYACTIV-G 2.0L DOHC 4-cylinder engine and advanced features of the previous trim levels, but the i Grand Touring also starts to offer luxury features:

  • Power sliding-glass moonroof
  • Dual-zone automatic climate control
  • Rearview camera
  • Heated front seats
  • Leatherette-trimmed sport seats
  • Mazda Connect Infotainment with 7-inch touch screen, voice command, navigation, internet radio and SMS text messaging

Top-of-the-Line Trappings

At $24,595 and $25,995, the s Touring and s Grand Touring trim levels are definitely the luxury vehicles of the Mazda3 lineup. The SKYACTIV-G 2.0L engine is swapped out for a standard SKYACTIV-G 2.5L DOHC 4-cylinder engine, which increases the power to 184 hp and 185 lb-ft of torque. Fuel efficiency is estimated at 28 mpg in the city and 39 mpg on the highway.

Mazda complements the increase in strength with added luxury components:

  • More sophisticated headlights with an available high beam control system
  • Contemporary exterior design features such as 18-inch aluminum-alloy wheels
  • Enhanced interior with active driving display and heated leather seats
  • Available advanced safety features such as smart city brake support, forward obstruction warning, a lane departure warning system, and radar cruise control
  • Available i-ELOOP regenerative engine braking system, which saves energy when you release the acceleration and uses it to power electrical systems like the air conditioning and power steering
