What We Do

At Tracy Mazda, we’re proud to be part of one of the most exciting brands in the automotive world. Manteca and Lanthrop drivers who visit our state-of-the-art showroom tend to be stunned by the style and performance of each vehicle, and that’s because of the myriad traits that make Mazda different.

Mazda follows a synergistic design philosophy that seeks to develop all aspects of each vehicle simultaneously, resulting a machine in which every part works together to create something great.

This differs from the method of most auto manufacturers, who simply place existing systems together. Mazda’s holistic approach is able to achieve increased efficiency and engine output due to meticulous design standards and an ability to ensure that every part of the vehicle complements the others. For example, engineers used electric power steering ahead of time with the Mazda3, allowing the chassis design team to create a distinct geometry for the front suspension to increase steering responsiveness and enhance handling.

Mazda’s aim of providing Manteca and Stockton drivers with a phenomenal ride is ably and succinctly defined by the motto “Driving Matters.” Harvey Marco, chief creative officer at Garage Team Mazda and one of the industry’s 50 most influential creatives according to Creativity magazine, credits the spirit of Mazda for helping to inspire its latest campaign.

“Driving dynamics have always been Mazda’s strongest and most differentiating characteristic,” said Mr. Marco. “Other brands tend to treat driving as an afterthought. But Mazda designs and builds the entire car to be intuitively responsive. First and foremost, Driving Matters is about connecting with people who care passionately about cars and driving.”

“Driving Matters” means more than the way a vehicle feels on the road. Mazda’s dedication to driving goes beyond that to examine how philanthropic achievements can be realized. The result is the Mazda Drive for Good program, which sees the company donating $150 for each car sold or leased. To date, the program has raised nearly $8 million for select charities.

Some 44 local organizations, including the Make-A-Wish Foundation, St Jude Children’s Research Hospital, American Red Cross, and the American Heart Association, have benefited, and Mazda team members all across the country have donated more than 120,000 hours of charitable service to date.

Pushing Boundaries

Defying the ordinary is what defines the driving enthusiast, and Mazda has been constantly pushing the envelope to get the most out of every vehicle. The Mazda MX-5 Miata is a great example, and its potential has been shown off by the diligent work of the team at Flyin’ Miata of Palisade, Colorado.

They’ve created a broad range of products to push the limits of the Mazda MX-5 Miata roadster, from placing a 430-hp 6.2L V8 under the hood to stripping the running gear and bolting it into an ultra-stiff spaceframe with a sleek fiberglass body.
