The 2017 Mazda6 Changes Include Minor Adjustments That Add Up
If you take a look at the 2017 Mazda6 and compare it to the 2016 model, you will likely not be able to tell much of a difference. That’s because the 2017 Mazda6 changes will be fairly minor — but they’ll add up in a big way. Stockton and Modesto customers can learn more by reading this quick overview or by visiting the showroom at Tracy Mazda today.
One of the first changes that Mazda has made to the upcoming Mazda6 is its driving dynamics. Mazda is debuting a new electronic widget called a G-Vectoring Control, which will help the sedan take corners like a pro. G-Vectoring Control makes tiny adjustments to the engine torque to move load transfer toward the front axle as the steering wheel is turned off-center, which in turn improves steering responsiveness.
Another important update comes to the available i-ACTIVSENSE® suite of active-safety features for Stockton and Modesto drivers. A new camera has been added that now detects pedestrians in addition to cars and larger objects. At slow city speeds, 2017 Mazda6 models with i-ACTIVSENSE® will automatically break if a pedestrian is detected and the driver does not react. Mazda has also adjusted the system to identify some traffic signs. The automatic emergency-braking function also now operates at speeds of up to 99 mph, up from 90 mph.
The interior of the 2017 Mazda6 changes will add even more luxury and comfort compared to the previous model. Stockton and Modesto drivers will now get to enjoy these available features:
- Heated steering wheel
- Full-color TFT driver-information display
- Full-color heads-up display
- Acoustic-laminated glass
- Black or almond-colored Nappa leather seats with titanium-gray piping and stitching
- Heated outboard rear seats
